Biography:
Tim Donst debuted in CHIKARA in April of 2007 at the "Rey de Voladores" event, participating in a trios match, but did not have much going for him early on, suffering a loss in that match for his team, and losing subsequent matches, including his first round match at the "Young Lions Cup" against Shayne Hawke. However, after that it was announced that Donst would challenge Eddie Kingston, the hard-hitting thug of CHIKARA, at the "Showdown In CrisisLand" event, and it is there where Tim Donst made his name. Initially many fans scoffed at the match, predicting a quick squash, but what they instead received was Tim Donst taking everything Eddie Kingston could dish out, and coming back for more, and while Kingston won the match, he had to pretty much knock the rookie unconscious to do so. Even in defeat, Tim Donst won, just by lasting as long as he did.
Following that match, Donst gained a lot of momentum, picking up his first singles victory by defeating Ring of Honor student Alex "Sugarfoot" Payne, and putting in further excellent performances against Brodie Lee and his trainer, "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush. In October of 2007 he had another excellent performance in a rematch with Eddie Kingston, featuring a horrifically violent headbutt from "The King of Diamonds", and the following night, Donst managed to make CHIKARA veteran and former Campeon de Parejas Icarus submit to the CHIKARA Special, but only after nearly being sent through a wall in the Barnesville Thunderdome. The next month, at the season finale weekend, Donst finally got the win he craved over Kingston in a trios match, with a little bit of help from the boots of Incoherence and a sneaky cradle. However, that particular weekend did not end well for Donst, as he was abandoned by his trios partners Los Ice Creams on the Sunday show, leaving him to be beaten to a pulp by F.I.S.T., although it did take a number of high impact moves to finally put him away. Rebounding from that beating, Donst again pulled off an upset on the "Stephen Colbert > Bill O’Reilly" show at Penn State University by pinning top rudo Mitch Ryder following interference from fellow rookie sensation Lince Dorado, in a match that saw Donst suffer a broken nose.
As hyped many times by his trainers and friends, Tim Donst's attitude in the initial match with Kingston and matches after that are no surprise. A stand-out amateur wrestler, Donst trained with CHIKARA Wrestle Factory for the longest, but his début was delayed because he chose to balance his amateur and his professional wrestling careers. The schedule and the discipline required instilled a "never say die" attitude, making him incredibly tough to put away, and one of the more exciting students to come out of the Wrestle Factory in quite some time.
